Established in 2012 by Mark Altman, Altman IM’s mission is to deliver effective, affordable and easy to use, cost-saving solutions for organisations across a broad range of industry sectors. As a distribution partner, we provide active support and resources to our channel partners and their customers during all stages of engagement – consultation, specification, implementation, testing, training and technical support.
Mark Altman has over 30 years experience in the software industry - initially working for end user companies in software development and systems analysis in mainframe environments. Later he worked in technical consultancy and pre-sales role for a software house prior to starting his own business as a UK based distributor for international software vendors.
Mark Altman was the founder and CEO of Altman Integrated Technologies (AIT Ltd), a specialist provider of print management solutions, before exiting the business at the end of 2012. Sadly, the AIT business was liquidated in February 2019, at which point, Altman IM were invited to take over the distribution of Pcounter and associated solutions, to provide continuation of service to customers and partners in the UK and Ireland.
Mark’s objective is to pursue the perfect model of providing leading-edge technology with exceptional service – and creating added value for customer, partners and the stakeholders in the business. In the rare moments he’s not looking at how to make things better for Altman IM’s customers, he can be sometimes found playing golf or brushing up on his ballroom dancing routines.
Technical Consultancy & Professional Services
Chris Terrington has now joined the Altman IM team – having worked with Sam and Mark previously at AIT during the earlier part of their careers.
Chris has over 35 years experience in software solutions, including development, analysis and more recently technical support and professional services delivery.
Previously Chris has worked for large end-user customers and software companies, and in more recent times for software distributors, providing pre and post sales software solution support and professional services.
Chris’s has a wealth of experience in dealing with complex technical issues as well as being able to configure and implement solutions, customised to the customer requirements. His engagement skills at both the technical and managerial level help achieve Altman IM’s objective of providing customers and partners with high quality, responsive service and exceptional value.
Sam Lindley joined Altman IM as Director and co-owner in July 2014, after exiting his previous role at AIT Ltd. As the senior executive in the business, Sam is responsible for all aspects of business development as well as overseeing the strategic and operational aspects of the organisation.
Sam is driven by his passion for software and the process of helping identify and implement it to make an organisation and its people more effective.
Sam holds a degree in Accounting and Finance with The University of Leeds and has spent more than 15 years since then working in the IT & Communications industry gaining experience in many different technology areas. The prominent focus during his career has been on document centric business critical software involving both on-premise and in the cloud. Sam’s particular specialisations include business process & workflow automation, print & document management, email & web security, legal practice and case management, cashless payments, ID card & access control solutions.
Previously a Director and co-owner of AIT Ltd, Sam was part of the team that helped take to and educate the market on the evolution in print management software that delivered print cost savings, multi-function printer integration (Follow Print) and mobile printing solutions.
Sam’s interests outside of work includes enjoying a game of golf, playing football or any racket sports as well as spending time (outdoors if possible!) with friends and family.
PRISM Software Professional Services
Mike Lycett has over 20 years experience in software solutions, technical support and professional services delivery.
Previously Mike has worked for printer & copier manufacturers and channel partners, providing pre and post sales software solution support and services.
Mike’s experience of customer requirements and service delivery combined with extensive technical skills help achieve Altman IM’s objective of providing customers and partners with high quality, responsive service and exceptional value.
THE PRISM SOFTWARE TEAM
Prism Software Corporation’s team are based in Irvine, California, U.S.A. and provide backup and support to Altman IM in the EU region. Prism have over 25 years experience in developing print and document workflow technologies. Their team comprises 40 staff involved in software development, professional services and support for their growing partner channel – and their partners’ business users who use Prism’s leading-edge technology.
